Hay bales and flowers

Image
This post is a little different to the others because there’s no actual illustration attached. Que the back story that wasn’t asked for, but the current situation I have includes a collection of unfinished drawings that I really want to finish and post, but my laptop is currently being fixed and I have stupidly left my illustration pen in uni. Therefore, for now here’s a bit of photography from a time we came across a field of hay bales and cute flowers on a walk near uni. I want to start doing quicker posts for when I have a bit of a creative mind block so maybe there’ll be more of these once I learn to work my camera a little better. Without any further rambling, (for now) please admire the hay. (Please overlook the lowered photo quality from uploading onto here). Photos taken near Heslington, York.

Image
When thinking about memorable moments of first year there were way too many to use and none of which would really make any sense,  so instead,  here are some geese. Whether you're walking to a lecture or walking home from a night out, first year has proven that it is impossible to do anything outdoors in York without coming into contact with one. And so, to document having finished first year I thought there'd be no better opportunity or appropriate time to share this digital illustration  (illustrated using Bamboo) of a Canadian goose. Sadly, I have lost the image I used as inspiration to draw this, so instead here are some day and night edition images of what it's like walking around uni.

I'm not a writer, and the furthest my ability as a photographer goes includes a camera roll filled with  iPhone 5s quality photos of moments and views I want to remember. So, although I am none of the above, what I am is someone who has realised that at the age of 19 I have reached the peak of hypocrisy, and the truth is anyone reading this probably has too. When interacting in a long enough conversation with a person, whether they are a friend, an actual adult or even a drunk bus stop stranger, there has been a point where they have in some form spoken about what they are passionate about. What particularly stands out is that there are two clear categories of these people; The first being those who act upon and actively share what they deem as impo...
